"Ruben was fantastic! I highly recommend working with him.
We were selling our home of 15 years. Even though I had made some improvements (new paint, carpet/flooring, minor repairs and renovations), Ruben still worked really smart and very hard to make sure the house was ready to "show". He made some recommendations, and even did a few things around the house himself, even buying and planting flowers and putting mulch in a small flower bed on the back patio! I believe that was completely over and above the call of duty, and it meant a lot that he would take the time and effort to do that! I thought the pictures they took and posted really brought out the positive aspects of our home.
Ruben spent some time with me to make sure the house was priced correctly. My goal was to maximize the value, but time was also an important factor. In this regard, I think it came out well, and I'm very happy with the result. Within only a few days, we had several showings, and in less than two weeks, we had multiple offers, leading to a "best and final offer" request, a selling price just slightly above asking price, and a strong position in the closing.
The buyer and their agent were obviously skilled and, at times, somewhat aggressive in the negotiation. Ruben was also very professional, smart and effective, and was able to reach very reasonable compromises and solutions. He kept me informed along the way, explaining the situations calmly and clearly. He took the time to discuss the available options, and helped me talk thru to a decision on each issue. The ultimate result, in my opinion, was retaining more of the value in my home that easily could otherwise have been given up in closing.
